Hello ladies,
5 ladies only were on the course today, but still enjoyed a nice round of golf.
Clinic of the day:
- After the “take away” seen last week, when the left arm has to be straight, this week we saw the full swing, with a right arm which has to be straight going forward
- Don’t forget to keep your elbows close to the body during all the swing
- To avoid the pain in the left elbow, make sure to put the sole of the club flat on the ground, allowing then your shoulders to work instead of your elbows
Rules of the day:
- Ball in a hazard (delimited by red stakes) : if you find your ball, you can play it ( without grounding the club). If your ball is unplayable, or lost, then you always have 3 solutions :
· Play again from where you hit the previous shot
· Play within 2 clubs length from the point of entry in the hazard, but not closer to the pin
· “Draw” a line between the pin and the point of entry in the hazard then, you can go backward as much as you want and hit from any point on this line
In any case, you have to count 1 stroke for the first shot, one penalty, and one for the shot you are going to hit
- Lost ball : You have only one choice, go back to the place from which you hit this lost ball (count 1 stroke for the first shot, 1 penalty, and 1 for the new shot )
That’s why it’s better to play a provisional ball when you think your ball could be lost. Then if you find your first ball, you have to play it.
